Severe Weather Ticket Policy

Guest Tickets May Not Be Sold

Any attempt to sell or produce mass copies of electronic tickets will be considered a misuse of Quinnipiac University property. Any and all such misuse of Quinnipiac University property will result in the conduct being reported to the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, which may ultimately result in disciplinary action, on a case-by-case basis, and as deemed appropriate. Additionally, upon notification of or the receipt of information related to a student's misuse of allocated tickets, the Office of the Registrar reserves the right to reallocate any and all such tickets to other students.

Seating

Seating for both outdoor and indoor ceremonies will be general admission. Should you need assistance, staff will be available to assist you in finding a seat.

Sever weather tickets should either be printed clearly (no fading ink) or displayed on a mobile device for entry to the ceremony.

Seating will be outdoors on a flat grassy surface for the Saturday and Sunday ceremonies. If these ceremonies move indoors due to severe weather, indoor seating will be in a tiered arena.

Seating for the Friday ceremonies (Schools of Medicine and Law) will be indoors in the tiered arena seating.

Seating for those with disabilities will be available and wheelchairs can be accommodated in both indoor and outdoor locations. Staff will be able to assist you on arrival. Please note the outdoor seating is on grass. The university does not provide wheelchairs.

Weather Guidelines

Weather Policy

The Saturday and Sunday ceremonies will take place on the Quadrangle on the Mount Carmel Campus. Ceremonies will take place outside rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, ceremonies will be moved indoors to the M&T Bank Arena on our York Hill Campus. While no tickets are needed for the outdoor ceremonies, tickets will be issued for the indoor severe weather ceremony. See the tickets section for more information

Outdoor Weather

The Quadrangle is an open, unshaded space. Please plan accordingly as the ceremonies will run roughly 2 – 2.5 hours each in addition to the time you are seated prior to the beginning of the ceremony. A tent providing shade as well as indoor livestream areas will be available, but please plan for the weather conditions as space is limited.

Please note that the grass and sidewalks will develop puddles and sogginess in the rain. Please plan footwear and clothing accordingly. Please bring raincoats and ponchos. Umbrellas will only be permitted if standing at the rear of the audience so that they do not block the view of other guests.
